Most fun I had with the tack driving game was after I set up my 1022 with a Green Mountain Target Barrel and a few mods to the action and the trigger group. When at the range with my favorite shooting buddy, I would shoot the thumb tacks off his target. He got so upset that he finally sold his Rem. Nylon 66 and got a 1022 of his own and started making mod's to it. Now he is much happier and we had to start using a staple gun for targets instead of thumb tacks.

Avast, ye scurrvy lot o' bilge rat excuse for a boatload o' pirates ( I jus love pirate talk ), here is my ''tack driver'' entry. Not only the shootin', but the scoring is hard on this ol' eye. Had to get the magnifing glass out! My targets printed out 0.225 inner and 0.365 outer...hope that's close enough. 25 yds. ,Ol' hamp, Lapua std. plus, score 23. RH

Great idea for a game, and congrats to those who have made it

I'm not sure the SA22 is up for the task, but I might have to try it anyway...

Hoping this also makes its way over to the bolt section

Looks like we have a 24 hour weather window here, then back to the rain and snow mix... It's not exactly nice but it let up enough for me to go shoot. Here's my 25 yard target with 25 tacks driven.

Below that is my third attempt at 50 yards with 12 tacks driven...WOW is that fun at 50 Especially with a gusty cross wind. Some more practice and maybe I can get it in at 50. Both targets were shot with SK +

Good shooting to you too RH.

I don't know, after shooting for the "H"- ball club, those circles looked like 55-gal drum tops at 25 yards. 50 was another story and was great fun.

Good shooting guys. I think this new game lit a few fires. I've got to give this one a try.

Chromie,
I meant to ask you the other day about the new rest. How do you like it? It looks great. I have never saw one in person.

Great shooting roothog and congrats to BS1 on having a documented honest to goodness 5 star tack driver, and on being the first!

Guess what ? mine is also not one yet and its my game, but I'll be working on that! Made 15 with a 9x scope. PDF files print the same size on every download. I measured tacks from 1/4" to 1/2" target dot size is fine.

23 tacks

Finally had a chance to shoot this game. Its alot of fun... and pretty tough. A bit frustrating too. Shot it using SK standard plus @25 yards. Cant wait to try it at 50. Good Game!
