all i did was rough up the factory mag really well. (i cut slots in the bottom with my dremel so it would have something to grip. i then choped a ar-15mag down to the size i wanted and used JB weld epoxy to attach them together. then i sanded and painted them

I'll take pics in the AM and post them.

I think anyone that believes a Hogue stock isn't Ultimate for a 10/22 is "doing it wrong." I think if you make the 10/22 rifle heavy or ugly, you've failed to make the gun Ultimate. I don't know of a stock for the 10/22 that is better than the Hogue. In order to beat it, it'd have to retain the rubber buttpad, but be lighter or better looking. Good luck on that one.

Just converted mine from a Tapco setup over the weekend. It started life as a synthetic/blued 10/22. Here's the current config:

Hogue Overmolded .920 channel stock
TacSol threaded black matte barrel
Christie's auto bolt release and recoil buffer
Bushnell 3-9x40 scope w/ Weaver rings
Harris 6-9" Bipod

What...you mean you don't like this one?

I built these for fun and they have been a ton of fun, the Quadrail is a great value and fitting the stock is not too hard with just a razor knife and a file. Duracoating the rifles is not so hard either, on a 1-10 difficulty scale I'd rate this type of project a 6. Jim
