Hi there,

I have been lurking for 6 months or so, but decided to register. Here is my Houge Ultimate.

The last pic is of my "sight in" target, that is about 200 rounds at 30 yards and I'm showing the backside of the target, on the front are some gopher targets and I was doing head and body shots.

Stock 18.5" barrel that was "Nemoized". Nemo also shortened it to 16.25" for me. Dovetail filled/smoothed and Molyfusion by Mike at Oxford Armory
Hogue Overmold stock for standard barrel
CPC'd blackened bolt by Randy with Volquartsen Extractor
Ruger Magnum charging handle with Power Custom guide-rod and spring
Stock Ruger trigger group reworked by Swampy
Rimfire Tech pull mag release
Intensity Optics 6.5-20x44 Scope
Deadnutz 1pc Scope base - Medium

Looks great! I just saw the post after all this time! I was wondering how it came out. Glad you like the Moly Resin refinish job.

OK, I think it's time for a tutorial. I want some details on how to do this.

My first 10/22 build, no internal mods yet just 20" Green Mountain barrel, I want to shoot it stock so I know what I'm improving.

Not really an ultimate, but it is perfect for my long range plinker. I don't plan any more mods. The prices below were the best I could find and include tax and shipping.

Hogue OM-$63
Green Mountain 18"-$92
Tasco Cheapo scope-$37
Rocky Ridge pod-$42
Base 10/22-$190

Less sale of 10/22 stock and barrel-$40

Total price $384

I guess I could have bought a 10/22T for that price, but I didn't want the shiny barrel and I love the grippy Hogue stock! It is pictured with its new buddy, a Henry H001T, with my experimental custom receiver finish. Thanks to all who provide idea inspiration on this forum!
