Benchrest pistol pics

Everybody seems to like pic threads, so since I am going to build a benchrest pistol out of a G2 .22 match, I thought I would ask for some "inspiration". If it's not rimfire, thats OK, even if it's not a T/C, that's OK. I just want to see some benchrest pistol, and rest/bipod set ups. Have fun, enjoy, and thanks.

A suppressed .17HMR pistol, I can't imagine anything much cooler. My .17HMR rifle is one that will probably be with me for a long time. A great round, and a good looking pistol, Moose! Since I started the thread, here's mine:

Encore .223, with Bushnell 6x pistol scope. I made the forend out of a piece of scrap oak handrail. Occasionally it will make three touch at 100 yards. That's tough with a 6x scope and a pistol! As mentioned above, I have a G2 frame that will be fitted for .22lr match benchrest. I have an old Redfield 24x fine cross hair target scope that will ride on top. I'm not sure if I'll go bi-pod, or rest. I'll try both and see what throws X's.

I like that fore end on the T/C. I think you'll find that it will shoot much better off of bags than it will from a bipod. The Savage is a lot of fun, I wish I had one in .22 lr also.

I have several guns with scopes on them, but I don't compete in benchrest competition with them.

<OH BOY> I guess a gun with a scope on it doesn't mean it's a benchrest gun. Are those Georgia Jim forends doc? I really like those, wide and flat. A shooting buddy and I are trying to generate a little interest at our local club. Maybe some fun shoots, or some "nota lota money" matches. Those are some fine looking rigs. I wonder if that 80x80 fella has any pics of his guns? Maybe something "tacticool"?

Yes, those are Georgia Jims most of them pictured are his "Target Style" I like it as it sits real well on my bags, very stable. At the club we shoot at we have a match once a month it's a "Run what ya brung" kinda of match, mostly rimfires but occasionally they have a center fire match. We shoot what we call a "Sucker Match" which as the name implies, we shoot at small Dum-Dum suckers at 25 and 50 yards (timed) for a bank of 5 suckers. Lots of fun and lots of laughs. They also hold a "Golf Ball" match which is shoot at 50 and 75yards. These are old golf balls and again it's the bank of 5 at each yardage. Cost is usually just a couple of bucks and that usually covers the meal afterwards. Lots of fun and a good time for all.

As for that 80x80 fella well........I know he has a few pictures of his irons so I'm sure he'll post them sooooooon (come on Dean ) He's a big steel shooter fer shur
