Question BL-22 Cowboy

Log in to see fewer ads
Ok, who has got the inside scoop on these Browning BL-22 Cowboy rifles displayed at the 2003 Shot Show? They look real pretty with the octagon barrel. Are they currently available? Are they going to be part of the standard product line or are they some sort of limited edition?

I did not see any news about it, but if it makes the rifle heavier or changes the balance from the present 18" barrel BL-22, then I would advise you to feel and compare both before deciding.

I can't imagine an octagonal barrel being lighter than the present version. I can't imagine a finer .22 lever rifle than the BL-22 that I bought last year.

Bl-22 is a fine rifle, no doubt. However, I sold mine after less than a year of ownership because it just wasn't big enough. I had to scrunch up behind the scope and I always got crook in my neck after about 40 minutes of shooting it. Still, I did love it and it was my introduction ot leveraction rifles, which I fell in love with. Regards. Lawboy.

Thumbs up I have had a BL22 for years

It is one fun gun to shoot.

Not a rifle that needs a scope,its
just to much fun without one.

Great rifle for shoot'in up that
less than purfect box of ammo.
You know the pop,bang,boom,click
type.

Just jack in another round and keep
on shoot'in.
