Anschutz Information - Need some Help!

I am trying to find the differences between the various Anschutz models.
i.e. 54, 64 Actions, 1400 1500 1700 1800 1900 series.
Trying to determine which models would be good to build a sporter or 10.5 BR rifle.
I saw an Anschutz Biathlon with Model 1827 on the barrell.
The stock was in fair condition missing the trigger guard and clip.
The action and barrel looked in very good condition. The shop owner said he would take $500 for it if he keeps the frount and rear peep sight. What do you people think - does this sound lake a good deal? and would it be a good basis to build a BR rifle?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

To give a clear view of all the models would take a bit. Do you want a repeater or a single shot? I guess the 10.5# would be single and the sporter a repeater?

The 54 actions are considerably heavier and more ridgid than the 64 actions. The 64's are pretty good but the 54's are designed to last for hundreds of thousands of rounds with no trouble and they will. I have a drawing at work that I did that lists all the weights for the action parts on a 54 if you are interested.

It is pretty impractical to convert a single shot action to a repeater because not only do you need to mill out the bottom of the action but the bolt is different too. Beater target rifles that would be good for their action are pretty easy to come by these days on gunsamerica or one of the auction sites. Repeater actions (like on the 1827) are a little tougher. Is it the straight pull action or a conventional bolt? If it is the conventional bolt action then $500 is a pretty good price. You can probably sell the stock. My '87 anschutz catalog says that the 1827 has the 5020 trigger which I think they said will adjust from 3 oz up to 2lb. The only other choices in getting a 54 action repeater is to start with a 1710 but then you don't have as good a trigger or get a silhouette rifle which you'll never get for $500.
