I checked out that auction, don't think I'll be buying that one. It's got nice grain but the whole M1 cloned stock isn't my cup of tea....the price so far and shipping rates are too much in my opinion.

Yeah know what you mean. Would of been a very nice stock if not for the cut out in the buttstock.

My old bulldog

I have elsewhere posted a bit about my Enfield with a few pictures. I have come to really like this old rifle. I has a load bark and mean bite but like an old dog is quite pleasant to have around. It is very fun to shoot. As you will see it has been shooting ammo as old as 107 years old:

Vincent ,

Buddy of mine used to have a .303 British when we was in school. You are right loud bark and pretty mean bite.

Sweet Enfeild you got there. I like it.

Thanks Rigrat. Two weeks ago I did not even have a surplus gun. Now I have the Enfield, torpedoman is shipping me a Swiss K31 this week (wait till you see THIS thing, the Swiss do not know how to to do something poorly) and Mike owes me a M44 Moisin Nagant Russain carbine as part of the same trade that brought the Enfield my way.

I also have a Mauser 98 action sitting here that over the next year is going to turn into a custom sporter. Right now it is just a straight handled military action but Mike builds BEAUTIFUL custom rifles out of these and this will be my start on learning those skills. Have yet to decide on caliber. Leaning toward .257 Roberts, 7 X 57 Mauser or 6.5 X 55 Swede. I'll lose sleep deciding this one

Well gang, this is what has been splitting time with my SuperStock shooting:

She is a Rock River Arms NM A4, 1:8 twist and is a shooter. The following is a 100 yard group using cheapo Wally World Federal Value Pack, .223 Rem, 50 grain JHP ammo. Subtract .223 from the edge-to-edge measurement and the group size is approximately .520 - Sub MOA for sure :

Thanks Mates. As AK posted, if you want one, then get it before the upcoming election - May be SHTF time for owning an AR after that.

Que, my next AR will be a much lighter model than a National Match and your Bushy is a nice model for sure - Gotta love a lightweight flat top! Think .223 ammo is high now? Just wait until this time next year - IF you can find it!

BTW, this rifle has been eating into my rimfire time and then Vincent posts about his Enfield - Vince, I wouldn't call that rifle a "Bulldog" cause it is gorgeous! Have always wanted to learn more about surplus weapons...

I had never thought of having a matching Single Six.. Thanks Rigger ,you probably just cost me more money. I am a terrible weakling when guns are involved. I have no will power.

Thanks for the compliments,fellas

Well think that would be a perfect side kick to the rifle.
