Hey shakey,
Annie actions last foreever, and even if the barrel is shot out, you can replace it. The trigger too, with minor gunsmithing , you can upgrade it. That is the beauty of an Annie (or whatever your honey's name is). You can configure it in whatever fashion that tickles your fancy. I see you have barrel-mount scope blocks too. Mine shot extremely well w a barrel-mounted scope. may be some day you want to try it.

Brian,
is that a stethoscope you have hanging on the vise? Are you trying to ring the barrel like Calfee suggested? I tried as he suggested but could not tell a dog gone difference. May be the barrel was too thick.

Thanks Charlie,
Now have the stock rework underway and even ordered a new bench stock from Don Stith. Probably will just shoot it for while with a cheap scope, but when i bought it, didn't even realize that it had the barrel blocks. A barrel-mounted target scope would be most interesting!
Barrel-mounted scopes:
Unertl (most expensive), plenty on E-bay. Beware of the mounts: standard ones Fit Anschutz; some come w posa base that needs special blocks.
Lyman supertarget spot, cheaper, still plenty,
balvar 6-24x, $400-$500, rarer, but very nice. The elevation and windage adj are in the form of 2 rings, very cool looking.
All the above have external adj mounts
Redfield 3200. they have internal adj, different from the others
Just wondering how much does the silencer affect the velocity. With a 27" barrel on my 1813, the report is minimal and I do not have to wear hearing protector.

I dont know about the velocity, have never testet that. I use hearing protection all times on rifle range. But not in hunting with this.....
The top one is a 1973 1411 with a Sightron 36x dot with BKL tall rings.
Next is a 1517 MPR with a Weaver 36t, BKL tall rings and a scope level.
Last is the gun I just picked up today. Its a 64 R Sporter with weaver rings, Tasco 8-32x44mm, and scope level.

Holy Moly! These are some decent looking rifles
and I do dig the pink one a couple pages back.
Some day I think I need to buy an Anschutz, too!
But for now, I'm my only Annie! LOL
