Plinking with the TOZ 78-01

Ya that's what I did last weekend.
Loaded up my 2 ten rnd mags with Rem. T-bolts.
Was 40* with a 10-15 mph wind shot these steel targets & another A-frame of smaller steel targets.
Center mass 50 yards.

Sure glad I bough plenty of magazines when I had the chance.
Believe it or not most of my mags came from Germany

Shot the TOZ-78 off a big rock, no bench rest shooting.

Had a good time "fure sure"

Midwest--- good shooting, nice rifle, looks like great fun! The targets/swingers look a lot like some of those used on a "woods walk" target shoot that I love participating in. Mainly use my scoped (Nikon 3-9 EFR) 7-2KO Izhmash for that venue, it's a pleasant way to spend part of a morning or afternoon. Shoot fifty targets of various sizes and distances, all the while on a leisurely walk through a very nice and scenic woods. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

Hey, I think you need a few more mags for that rifle....

what was the process to fit the mags to your rifle? I have some spare non notched mags as back-ups to my TO3-78 and Wildcat.

All my 5 rnd mags came notched, but did have to do a little filing and made sure
they worked ok.
See all the factory Russian hand work...

The word was all the TOZ 78 rifles came with hand fitted magazine's with the new rifle
serial # marked on the magazines fit that new rifle.
I bough my TOZ used and came with one mag. and I bough all the other mags
and all had different serial # on them.
Most of my mags came from Germany.
But they all work fine.

Bet we shoot the same woods walks in NEO and NW Pa. like you I prefer Nikon EFRs on my .22s. I normally take my Kimber HS classic Varmint hybrid, an anschutz 54 sporter or my Mauser 410b. Maybe catch you at one in December.

Excellent shooting. You peppered those phez nicely with those thunder duds. Also, love your camo job. Unique and functional. Well done! Russ
