Bergara BXR. This has a 10/22 style action with a steel barrel but they make one with a carbon fiber barrel as well. The barrel is lightly fluted and threaded into the receiver. Stock is great and the trigger is awesome and there is 30moa built into the receiver. And the best part, it cost $450. the carbon fiber barrel version is slightly more. Have not shot it yet.

Interesting new 10/22 competitor. I hope it's reliable

Ruger's patents on the 10/22's rotary magazine must have expired since everyone (T/C, Winchester and now Bergara) are using the design for their .22 semiauto rifles.

Have you tried to fit any Ruger internals like the bolt or trigger group?

Everybody seems to love 30 MOA, I think it is too much for .22 LR. I wish Ruger's Competition series was only 20 MOA.

Looks like a good value. This company's other rifles are getting good user reviews.

Found the carbon barrel version selling for $600. That's a Ruger Custom Shop killer if the trigger group can be swapped for a highend 10/22 trigger.

The Bergara comes with 3.5lb trigger. If it shoots like I hope it does, there is nothing on the market that will come close to this gun for the price.

How about some more pics?

How does the stock fee compared to other stocks?

Can you measure the headspace? Is the firing pin pinned?

Neither matters if it shoots! Hopefully the OP can do it justice.

We got a couple of the carbon fiber models in the other day. No chance to shoot it. But the fit and feel of the gun is better than I expected.
The trigger is really nice. A lot better than my BX triggers. If I hadn't just built a really nice gun less than a year ago I'd be in trouble (again).
Maybe I can talk the boss into putting one into demo service.
Given the reputation Bergara has for making really good barrels I'd be surprised if it couldn't compete with the aftermarket offerings.

Sounds like at least the trigger and magazine are 10/22 compatible. Not sure about the barrel and receiver components.

https://www.bergara.online/us/rifles/bxr/

I think it is a good looking rifle.

Mine is pinned, barrel is threaded, and has the hole so you can clean the barrel from the action.

Very nice.

What is the shortest LOP you can make it?

Have you had a chance to shoot it?

I have only read 1 review which was over on the 'hide' and it didn't shoot very well. I know it's only a sample size of 1 and I am hoping you and Tree will have a chance to ring them out.

Still don't see what chamber they are using - Went to the Begara webpage and they don't mention it.

Found a place selling the carbon fiber models for 564 of course they are OOS but still if they shoot well that is a bargain deal.
