I just did a seach of this forum and found a link to what is probably the most complete reference for you, the Kimber manual, hosted by CMP.

If the sear spring adjustment doesn't work, you may have an issue with the sear itself or the trigger. I bought a like new Custom Classic a few years ago and with the sear spring completely out it still pulled at 5#'s. I took the trigger out; it's drop dead easy to do, and looked at it under a magnifier. I saw what looked like a barely discernable burr so I gave it about 3 quick passes with a hard sear stone, reassembled it and it adjusted right to 1.5 #'s, which is what I try to adjust my Kimbers to. Even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while. A competent gunsmith would find it an easy fix if you don't want to do it.
