The only way you will know for sure is to buy some and try it in your gun. Most responses here will TRASH it ! Again, test some and see for yourself.

It's very dirty and not very accurate. It's fine for plinking cans and shot gun shells, but you'll have to give your gun a good scrub if you shoot a lot of it.

Rem Golden Bullets, however, are the finest .22lr ammo every produced in the history of mankind.

For plinking and range play I use cheap ammo.

People can say what they will and not buy it. Fine by me, more on the shelf.

Thunderbolts work just fine in all my .22's. M&P22's and a Sig Mosquito. I've run through 3 500 round boxes with only a handful of issues. Not anymore than any other bulk ammo.

My CCI HV stuff I keep stored for more important things.

Thunders are inexpensive and plentiful. Wish my guns like them... they don't. But my targets liked them a lot since they lasted a long long time before the center was shot out.

Good range ammo for plinking. My 10/22 likes them better than Federal bulk but the opposite is true for my MP5, go figure.

Golden trash is bottom of the barrel, steer clear of it.

Remington Thunderbolt ammo

If you shoot revolvers or bolt action/pump/lever action rifles, it works well. In many automatics it can be problematic. Not too long ago, I had a chance to buy a case of 5000 rds of the stuff for about .02 cents per round ($100) and jumped on it. So, now I have plenty of fodder my revolvers and non auto rifles. There is a place and a use for all grades of ammo!

Brother Buckweet...

Ö.is a disciple of mine. I put him on the path of shooting the MAGNIFICENT Remington Golden Bullets in his Remington Nylon rifles. He has been thankful ever since. Seriously, they shoot very well from these guns, but it is Rem ammo thru a Rem gun so what else would you expect?? The fellows in Ilion were pretty smart.

If you just need it to go "bang" most of the time, and your accuracy demands are no more than minute of coffee can, and you dont mind giving your gun a good scrubbing every 50 rounds or so, you might like this ammo. Then again, probably not.

Friends dont let friends buy Remington .22 ammo.

I'll let my friends buy whatever they want.

Then I will buy them a beer while they complain how awful their gun shoots and how dirty it is.

Black Cat firecrackers go bang much more often if one wants to make noise w/o hurting or hitting anything.
