Value of 77/22 Boat Paddle

Looking for opinions on value of a 98% condition Ruger 77/22, blued, with a boat paddle stock with the green inserts, and a cheap Simmons scope.

I know I can check completed auctions but this combo is somewhat rare.

I think you did real well.

Since they donít make 77/22s anymore, Iím wondering if they are going to go up in value.

Well I hope so! But I think itís more like they donít make Oldsmobile anymore. Hereís one I got in trade for a pre 64 win 93 30/30

People poopoo these rifles, for a variety of reasons, but I donít have any issues with mine. No theyíre not CZ accurate, but I liked Oldsmobile too!

I bought the boat paddle 77/22. I got it for $350 OTD. I think I did real good. After cleaning it, I would rate it at 98%+. I’m not sure it’s been fired since leaving the factory. I can tell the action has been cycled, but the mag doesn’t look used, nor does the bolt face. I may put a new Weaver RV-9 on it since it is too good for a Simmons scope. I don’t think I’m going to shoot it. I have a second year, walnut stocked 77/22 that I shoot.

Why scope it if your not gonna shoot it? And yes $350 is a good price. I shot my 77/17 today, and itís a gas! That zytel stock is rigid and tight, and that 17hnr is a fun round to shoot.. it really moves fast compared to a 22, like a 223 but no noise and no muzzel blast

Shoot it, that way if you ever sell it you might be able to say, itís a fine shooter, and a lot of fun.

I put a new RV-9 on it because it was relatively cheap and the rifle didnít come with any sights. It sure looks good now.

What material was used for the last composite stock for the 77/22? Not the boat paddle.
