Ill do some magic on the SK mag bullet it will look like this.

They will feel the SK Mag. small game bullet on impact....DRT

Swiss: Looks like you may have found a way to get the maximum "whump" out of SK Magazine. I look forward to the follow up report of how Flat-nosed SK Magazine do on real critters. Making your own SGB's; you are amazing Swiss!

Great shooting on that 250, Jon. Wonderful month of July for all the shooters.....
I only got out twice this month, plan to do a bit more if the humidity gives me a break.

Amen to that...my biggest hurdle when I tried the open sights 50' was not breathing, trigger or hold...it was my darn glasses fogging up...along with my old eyes where everything was already blurry...made it tough...looking forward to a Crisp September session with dry air!!!

Late entry

7/28/17
242-5X
kip6830 (Kip or Cliff)
CZ455 Varmint, Barska 6-24 set on 9X
Caldwell Bulls Bag, nice day 80 and no wind to speak of
Eley Target was used this month as that was the best pick I could find for my rifle again this month. Wolf Match Extra usually brings with it a few extra points my way.

By now you all know that I have issues every month getting my pictures up so as soon as I figure out how to make attachments load this month you'll just have to take my word that I shot this huge 242

July's Challenge Shooters

Ya'll know it was a bit of luck that I got a 250 with only a few X's and a bit of bad luck that Swiss got 12X's and not a 250. His is really the target to be admired. I've started looking more at trying to get the most X's and not getting caught up in trying to get a 250. I think in a way, a 249 with 12X or more is a better score than a 250 with only a few X's. Perhaps in a squirrel's eye sort of way.

The thing that really stands out this month (besides the influx of new participants) is how close all the scores are. Even our newest newbie shooters are already shooting over 230! And the great majority are above 240. The top 5 you can hardly tell apart without using fancy tools and magnifying glasses!

So for the month of July, we are all winners. The only losers are those who don't play.

Your most welcome. Thanks for shooting. I started to run up the mountain and post a target or two this morning, but I worked yesterday evening and decided to take it easy. It would have been a nice morning for it; the heat wasn't as bad and the breezes were calm.

Y'all are a great bunch.
Thank you for welcoming me and my son and helping us understand how to improve.
We both look forward to posting an August score. I have a few guys in my hunt club I shoot with pretty regular that are into informal target shooting so I'll see if I can recruit one or two of them to join in the fun. I'll start seeing them more regularly soon as Dove season is around the corner.
