The Mossberg 380 rifle project

Another month, another refinished gun. This one is a Mossberg model 380 semi-auto .22 rifle. Someone had spilled or exposed the rifle to a chemical that caused some localized corrosion.
Anyway, I removed the pits and polished the metal before rebluing it via the hot salts method.

A job well done. Did you do the Hot bluing? I still have my Hot Bluing tanks. That stuff is 90% Red Devil Lye and will eat up concrete.

Nice work! I have a BSA Martini 12/15 single shot target that needs some TLC like that!

Nice job, Bandit! I have a 251c New Haven that belonged to my grandad. It's been a great gun for me, I've killed lots squirrels and rabbits with it. The 251 has the cut-out in the stock, making it (slightly) easier to load. Again, well done on restoring a nice little rifle.
