I just received the barrel which I purchased from frg22 here on RFC.
This is how he described it it: "Barrel: the barrel came off a rimfire benchrest rifle it is a straight taper .750 for about 22" tennon and thread pitch seem to be from a 40x rimfire but not sure."
What I determined today is: The barrel is 25" long. A magnet will stick to it. It is approximately 0.875" at the muzzle, 0.77" at the middle of the barrel and 0.79"at the rear before thickest point of 1.206", 1" at the face of the chamber. It is curious to me being tapered from the muzzle, thicker to thin. It is probably obvious I know nothing about fancy benchrest rifles or barrels. I am sure I didn't give you all the proper info in the proper sequence. But any knowledge on this you could share, I would appreciate. I slugged the barrel and it was very tight with only two groves on the bullet opposite each other. Here are some pictures. Bob
