I was wondering if this stuff is any good?, Cabela's had over 50 bricks of it on the shelf Friday, take as many as you want.

I bought a case a few weeks ago, on sale at Midway. So far, I have shot it in my Walther GSP Expert, and S&W 41. Seems fine to me so far. I gave a brick to my LGS, who is also a high master level bullseye shooter, and he doesn't like it (compared to CCI_SV), because he notices variations in the charge. I.e. pop, pop, lite pop. pop pop etc. He indicated he tried it in 9 different guns. He also said he had trouble get consecutive 10s, which for him is very unusual.

I have found it incredibly oily. They must submerge it in something. That, I don't like, gets all over everywhere.

I have used it so far practicing Bullseye, i.e. 50 yard and 25 yards, slow, timed and rapid fire. I personally haven't noticed any accuracy difference from CCI -SV, and have not noticed the irregularity that Jon noticed, although I have nowhere near his experience or skill.

I almost certainly will not get more, primarily because it isn't any less expensive than CCI-SV, doesn't seem more accurate in my guns, Jon's comments which I value highly, and because it is so darn oily.

I do plan to shoot it in more of my 22s over then next few weeks, all pistols though.

I have to agree with gregbrenner's friend. Sometimes it shoots very well but then you
get a flyer. For a while I thought it was me, but sad truth is that in my experience it
is not consistant enough for anything other than plinking. At $39 a brick it is tempting
but not that tempting, I will pass. fd
