144LSB Mossberg
Just picked one up from local pawn shop. Noticed an earlier entry that had serial number immediately before mine. Probably a 98% gun, no nicks or scratches. Pawn dealer had $300.00 on it and I offered a bit less and took it home. He said 22's don't do well and I said great! My sixth Mossy!
#1341097
one peg
Walnut Stocked
S331 rear sight, no name front sight
grooved

144 LSB
No serial number
Red peg, Grn is missing.
Walnut stock I believe.
No sights or magazine, has an extra sling swivel.
Picked it up at a pawn shop today for 275.00 they wanted 529.00. Saw it there about two years ago at the 529 and they were firm. Today he decided it had sat there long enough.

144LSB
Just paid for a 144LSB, but can't take it home for 11 days
No Serial Number
Only remember a red peg. Can't say if there was a spot for the other one or not- will update later. Reddish walnut- definitely not birch. [needs a refinish]
White line spacer. The plastic trigger guard didn't go down to the end of the stock groove, and was more rounded than the squared off end of the groove cut into the pistol grip area. Lyman front sight [has hooded front sight with circle front sight post inside it, to line up circle of front and aperture of rear] Mossberg S331 rear sight.
AC-KRO-GRUV barrel Barrel to chamber mouth was about 25.5"- Not the 26" or 27" listed in sales info, but didn't look like it was cut down. [ ] Marked ".22 Long Rifle Only"
No warning
Unknown origin date: consignment sale at LGS from an estate sale. Barrel markings are faint at end of 144LSB- looked like 1441SB. Bad stamping? Photos in 2-3 weeks, after it gets home.

Just acquired a Mossberg 144LSB. Excellent Condition and apparently original condition. Bought from Buck's Gun Rack in Daytona Beach.
The pertinent information:
S/n 927497
Walnut stock with white spacer
AC Kro Gruv, Long Rifle only marked barrel
Mossberg S331 rear sight
Lyman 17a (?) front sight
hand stop
original magazine
1 red peg
Got it home and gave it a thorough cleaning, checked everything I could think of and gave it a light lube. Took it to the range for a test spin and was delighted with the results. CCI SV, original sights, 50 yards, and 70 y.o. eyes yielded 1 1/2" 20 shot groups. No problems.

What about barrel crowns? I'd LOVE to know what everyone with a 'naked' 144LSB has for a barrel crown.
[Naked- no serial number ]
Mine is 25 1/2- 25 9/16" barrel, with a recessed target crown.

Can't figure out how to picture of crown. Mine appears to have a normal crown. The same as my 44US US Property. Measured from muzzle to front of receiver and got about what you did. Measured from muzzle to rear face of barrel inside the receiver and got about 27 inch for total barrel length.

Got a like new one yesterday serial # 140451 before the AC-KRO GROV barrel markings, both red and green indicators. Did not have the Lyman 17a front sight, just a bead in the dovetail. Factory? What year was this manufactured, I wonder?
