I bought a 144LSB (complete original) last year; it is like brand new. With bipod attached it shoots smaller than a dime group (w/ scope) and 1" (w/original sights) @ 50 yards with decent ammo. Problems: No Serial Number. I thought that was real strange. Also the barrel looks like it was stamped very lightly at first and then moved and wtwisted a slight amount and then stamped with full pressure. Does not affect performance but seems awfully unusual. Has anyone heard of these things happening before?

Not a problem as the first examples were made before the GCA of 1968 and as such, have no serial numbers. Double stampings are not uncommon. I'll add your no serial number to the list and assume it has the 331 peep and 17A front sights. Please tell us what kind of wood is on your rifle and post a picture please. Regards, Rick.

Just noticed the last one on the list is mine...
1399125, 1 red, Walnut, no sights on it when purchased
Newest/latest serial number on the list, but was well used and abused when I purchased it.....

[QUOTE=dhuze;4329087]Why do you not like my 4 digit LSB?
I like it very much and haven't forgotten it. Do you have any other pictures? It would be the only 4 digit serial number ever reported and reeks of questions. Regards, Rick.

Here are a few more. Is there anything specific you would like to see?
Two together. You can see they both have the same font. They are also the same size although they don't look it in the picture.
