Mossberg 144LSB

My Mossberg 144LSB, heavy barreled .22 caliber target rifle was purchased at Grover City, California in July of 1987. It was used, but in excellent condition.
The S/N is 236095 and the barrel is marked AC-KRO-GRUV. This appears to be the earliest 144LSB marked as such, so far.
The stock is walnut with a white spacer on the plastic butt plate and sports a sling and adjustable hand stop.
It has two pegs, red at center and green at the right safety position.
No iron sights were included, but is has a Bushnell Sportview 3-9 40mm scope.
Purchase price was $125.00, which included the Bushnell scope.

Another with no serial #. 144 LSA, no consumer warning
It has the S-331 rear, 17A front with single bottom post, red and green pegs, green to the right, both pegs are placed right of center, one peg in center, the other right of center, dark walnut stock, hand stop. Action is groved for scope mount.
It's about 97% on the metal, the stock has had a coat of finish put on it, has a couple scratches and nicks under new finish, but in very good condition.
Barrel marked Ac-Kro-Grov, non original butt plate, original on the way. Handstop, removable slig holder in rear, screw in sling holder just above the handguard plate in front. Red and green buttons, both marked "S" ??? Looks like a burch stock, not positive. Tapered barrel.
I can post pics if you want them. Purchace price, 6/2011 was $275.00 from an auction house on Gun Broker.

a nice 144LSB, ser# 746110. No rear sight and only one insert for the front sight. Very nice stock, walnut I think?, and very good metal. On the underside of the barrel, hidden by the wood are the initals "BSA west tennessee" looks like an electric pencil was used. Any idea who? Red and green pegs but it looks like the green one has been added. Different size than the red. The gun fires when the lever is over the red, is this correct?

Need the type wood and front sight and I'll add it to the list. Good luck on finding a #-331 rcvr sight. Vic Havlin has a very nice after market sight that will work well. Regards, Rick.

S/N is 140306/ both pegs/ walnut stock/ 17A front sight/ S55 rear sight grooves for scope
I just purchased this in March. It is a really good shooting gun.

I use it for 50yd bench rest achieving a couple of 55X targets and my son used to win a Henry 22lr shooting a 54X with a heavy cross wind. I shoot Iron sights in a Sporter Rfle league. I will post pictures soon

So my 144LSB has one red peg only, and a walnut stock.
Ac-Kro-Gruv barrel, no white spacers at all.
Sling swivels are intact, one at rear, two up front.
Receiver is grooved for scope mounting.
No sights came with this rifle. I has a dovetail in the barrel at the front.
S/N is 1277008

Here is an update for my 144LSB's. Since you are looking for the AC-KRO-GRUV I'll update those first.

One of the non SN's is mine and it has AC-KRO-GRUV on the barrel.

643445 is mine and it also has AC-KRO-GRUV on the barrel.

Here is my newest one I picked up today

SN 4637, Both pegs, walnut stock, AC-KRO-GRUV on barrel.
