Gents,
This is my first-ever rifle, bought when I was 37! It is an H001L, 16" barrel, with a big loop lever:
I wanted to be "Lucas McCain", and this Henry was the inexpensive way to get a foot into the door. I sold an early-WWII Walther PP to pay for it, some range time, some ammo, a gun case, some groceries, and some gasoline.

My Henry now wears a metal front sight from an Ithaca 72. I do not have good pictures of the sight, though. That Henry has taught me so much about rifles, shooting and gunhandling. It has to be the best investment that I have ever made. I am approaching 10,000 rounds through it. I have no regrets about buying my Henry.
