Thanx ! I'm surprised how light it is. The 5.5 slab side that was on it before seems like it weighed twice as much. The balance seems about the same too, if not better. I'll try to post some groups tomorrow.

Looking good guys!

Packin, that is super long with that muzzle brake on there! Did TacSol thread that for you or someone else? It looks nice!

thanks. Its was the last one they had in 10in with the threaded end in black. I think the girl said they were only going to thread the 4in one's from now on. I'm going to put a gemtec on it, will be really long then, just hope its not to long to be worth it.

Long Barrel Varmint

Local dealer has one but it has a very ugly set of Plastic target grips. Price is $250--assuming I buy it -----can I assume that changing the grips from plastic to wood would be an easy job?

Yes the grips are easy to change. If it were me, I would buy it for $250. Grips are probably still available from Browning.

Long Barrel Buckmaster.

Went back and looked-- The grips are wood but someone painted them black. He sold it to me for $225 out the door. Metal is at least 85%.
Serial number is 655PN171xx. Anyone have any idea how old this is.

the PN part of the serial number relates to a 1989 gun.

Heres my latest project. The Browning silhouette forend fits perfectly around the Tac Sol 10" barrel. Its SO light for a "Silhouette" Buckmark!

What part do they say no to? Automatics? Long barrels? Just curious, thanks.
