Very, very nice indeed.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing only without silencer.

Could you possibly tell me what length barrel would put the crown right at the front edge of this stock?

By the way, what magazine are you using?

Thanks,
Matt

Edit: Alright, this is what I am building myself specifically...hope you don't mind my paint art with your photo:

if you do build one i hope you paper it as a sbr..

the bbl oal should be about 6 1/2 for what you want

the mag type is a butler creek steel lip

if you do build one as i said before you have to register your reciver before you build it on a form 1 as a SBR. you will also have to modify alot on the bolt and hammer to make it function properly so you will need to plan on doing this also. bolt mods were raidus it to the maximum point and also polishing both the bolt and hammer face.

Thanks for the details.

This gun is going to be built on a new registered receiver, yes as a sbr.

Hmm, so the bolt needs a bit of lightening basically to function properly from reduced gas...couldn't this be achieved by a lighter spring also? Haven't ever done a sbr from a 10/22 so this is indeed new to me.

I want the threads only to be exposed from side view so I will probably do a 7" barrel then. I have yet to order the stock so this is why I am in question.

How is yours cycling with an even shorter barrel? Any problems?

By the way, is that steel lip magazine black like it looks? I have been trying to find that specific mag in black and I find nothing but clear and smoke everywhere.

Thanks again.

I have to say I really like it and that I am jealous since I live in NY there is not even a possibility of me getting a suppressor, we dont even have that as an option. So good job on a very nice rifle.
