That was a commemorative or promotional box from the the early 1990's if my memory is right. I bought a bunch of these from a local shop sometime in that era. They must have been a one off run because I never saw them again after that time and had not seen them before. Shot most of mine up and kept the last couple in my box collection. The ammo was identical to the standard Winchester Super X load in the regular box but was cheaper (loose pack?) which was one of the reasons I bought it as I had a rifle that really liked the Super X Hollowpoint load.

Yep, I've got about a "brick" and a half sitting on the shelf, I bought it in '94-'95 when I got my Winchester 9422.
It looks just like the white box Dynapoint ammo they had a few ears ago, but the plating on the yellow box stuff is MUCH! better.

The .22 box website shows this box of ammo, but they don't have any dates for it's introduction. Early 1990's is the closest I can figure for it. Some kind of promotional box by Winchester, similar to this 1986 Remington limited production box.

Western Super X

I remember buying and shooting a few boxes of those Western Super X's in the mid 1990's.
