1911-22 Buffer
My Gold Cup cycles CCI Subsonics easily, so well that I think it might beat up the "pot metal" (don't know what kind of metal it is) slide too much with standard velocity, not to mention high velocity 22LR.
I love that it shoots anything, even Rem Gold bullets (until those dirty rounds gum it up), but I don't want to break my new Colt/Walther/Umarex. I do have and use a suppressor on it, but subsonics are not necessary because standard velocity rounds do not crack the sound barrier out of the short pistol barrel.
Does anyone make a buffer for these pistols? Should I use a stiffer recoil spring? Or am I needlessly worried because the slide's "pot metal" can take the abuse?
