I have 3 boxes of the Staynless in Long. Harder to find and worth more than LRís and Shorts. Iíve had them since the early 90ís, along with the Super W Speed in the red and white boxes. The Staynless is from 1927 and Super W Speed is from 1932. All one piece boxes.

Sorry Al, didn't see your question until just now.

The Staynless boxes indicated Winchester's change to a new, non-corrosive priming compound.

Cleared out some space around the bench and found a GI ammo can. It contained a brick of old Rem Target. I am going to run some numbers and see if I can find the year. I remember back when this stuff was great and then it took a dive. Hope its the good stuff.

When was this Squires Bingham 22 lr made?
I had never seen it before until I bought this box.
I see it is from the Philippines.
Was it common in the U.S. ever ?

Those were made by Arms Corp of the Philippines back in the 1980's. Exported by Kassnar to several different countries. I don't recall ever seeing them in the U.S.

Don't know if it was common or not. I have several boxes in my collection.

Added: Just checked my reference and I have 75 pages on ammo made in the Philippines. Kmart sold some years ago.

Squires Bingham -- all 50 fired

Squires Bingham -- all 50 fired, worked the action and were consistent in my Browning 22 auto. That was better than the 50 rounds of newer ammunition I also used today where I had a couple that would not fire.

Good for you. I have several boxes in my collection. Won't shoot them unless they outlaw the manufacture of ammo.
