Speaking of guitar, this guy shreds like nobody's bitnes. Plus, he is an avid watch collector. Here wearing his green rolex sub "Hulk" that is unobtainable by us mere mortals.

Time is on our side of the curtain, as CS Lewis and St. Thomas Aquinas would remind us. The 'other' side of the curtain waits for us all.

Dreams....they say one of the most boring things to listen to is someone telling you about their dreams. I have a lot of em, most just aggravating like trying to fix a broken sink when there is no floor to stand on.....but one night years ago I had a short one....it woke me up. For one brief moment I saw the second eternity and understood what endlessness meant. It was in no way religious. It wasn't scary...but it was sobering. And we waste our time on so many useless and pointless things. 1917

I had a couple of similar experience in my early 20s (but not precipitated by a dream). At the time, it was so significant to me and a few friends that we classified people as either having had the experience, or not.

Stepping outside of time - real or imagined - is interesting, to say the least.

Whatever happened to the Rosicrucians ("not a religious organization")?

As Festus used to say, "That's for sure . . . . .that's for dang sure!"

I think most of us have had those fleeting moments of seeming enlightenment. At least, that's what our conscious mind tells us.

Time is sort of like summer vacation, a great trip, or Christmas when you are a kid. The more fun you are having the faster time flies. I imagine time stands still for those in prison.

That would be the sensation of time, not it's absence.
Outside of time experiences tend to look back at time moving fast or slow.
To look past the curtain beyond time, I think, is something completely foreign to contemporary man.

"Time, time, time,
See what's become of me.
While I looked around
at my possibilities."

" I was 21 years old
When I wrote this song.
I'm twenty two now
but won't be for long

Time hurries on
and the leaves
that are green
turn to brown"

Someone is always singing about time. If anyone makes it to the Big Island, I'd highly recommend a trip up to the big telescopes and to stay until dark to look at the stars. I've never seen anything like it. Skip the tour...you can drive up. The telescope buildings are open...but there is no telescope you can look through. The doors over the telescopes slide back at dusk to open a view to the stars. It's all computer...Watch the sunset, then go down a bit to the observation area. Students and others from the Universities will have expensive telescopes set up for the tours and anyone else that wants a look. Hot chocolate is served because it is cold. Some scopes project the image onto a special table. The Space Station flys over and is easily seen with the naked eye as are other orbiting objects. Almost within reach it seems. More stars than I've ever seen. I stood there and marveled that I existed in all of this, that I had the capacity to realize that I existed as I looked at the Universe. What are the chances? One of the highlights of our two weeks there for me. 1917

Or, as the very funny and brilliant physicist, Richard Feynman once said . . .

"Time is just one dam(sic) thing after another"
