I suggest Rimfire Central consider creating a Brno subforum.

A Brno subforum would keep Brno specific technical information together in one place. This would help avoid repeating the same information in unrelated posts for new-comers and provide one place for reference and discussion for Brno enthusiasts.

Members TOU and jmrybakís Owner's Club threads have been the most helpful for me.

Recent Brno Model 4 posts have been hijacked with excellent, but unrelated, information regarding refurbished finishes and appropriate bolts/safeties.

If we had a Brno subform this kind of information could be easier to access and referenced in its own thread.

Which one are you going to put the 452-2E BRNO in? It is the same rifle as the CZ452.

Aren't CZ's manufactured in the same plant in Brno Czechoslovakia as Brno's were? This would make Brno's older models of CZ's. Seems like a lot to do over nothing.

Brno rifles are the forerunners of CZ rifles and are closely linked.

Brno produced the ZKM452 (Model 2) in 1956-1967.

The 1967-1974 production was switched to CZ, but still stamped "BRNO.”
Originally CZ put together with Brno made parts, under Brno inspectors.

In 1974, CZ began making the 452s completely of their own manufacturing facility. These dates may vary.

If I'm not mistaken, CZ even uses the same machinery that Brno's were made on.

I personally enjoy all the input from RFC members. I want to learn as much as possible about BRNOs and CZs. All CZ owners should know about BRNO rifles. Didn't I read somewhere that the BRNO and CZ forum started out as separate sub forums. I think CZ/BRNO forum should include all rifles, including centerfire and pistols. But that's just my opinion.

This.

Sometimes discussions go sideways backwards and off tangent. I'm just glad guys are sharing. Seems as there has been a big chunk of the knowledge base lost over the last few years. Again, glad guys are sharing no matter what direction it goes.

Yep pretty much every time there's a new Moderator it gets brought up, Brno and CZ are historically and functionally tied to each other, in my opinion at least they belong together.

If the forums are kept together the CZ enablers can also push the BRNOs at the same time. That is what they did to me.

It doesn't bother me that both are in the same grouping, especially considering mechanical functionality is the same, or very similar among many CZ's & BRNO's, and some information is relevant between them.

If the thread title has at least "BRNO" in it, that makes it easy enough for me to sort through...

All things considered, I think all CZ/BRNO rimfires should be kept in the same forum.

If any new forums are created in the CZ/BRNO rimfire arena, I'd move the 457 to its own forum. But I think it's best to keep them all together.
