I hear that currently Gateway is not doing anything with the MOA and that portion of the business is for sale.

I bought a couple of them years ago. I havenít bought anything from them recently.

The Kingston Armory receivers are cast steel (not stainless steel), and look awesome with blued barrels. They were left over when Kingston went bankrupt.

I saw some at Patriot Nation gun shop in Phoenix. They were $125 as I recall. They arenít mine. I have a few I bought close to two years ago.

I will give them a call, sir.

I am in the market right now for a new receiver, having sold 2 of mine.

I want something I have not tested yet, lol!

I really like my two MOA receivers. I ordered both with custom serial numbers.

They have some features the Kingston receivers donít have such as a rear lug option. The Boydís stocks I bought couldnít use those lugs anyway. The MOA has an option for a threaded barrel. I didnít use that feature either. I use Kidd barrels and they require freezing the barrel and heating the receiver. This method actually worked better in the Kingston receivers.

The Kingston is about as close to a stock Ruger receiver as I have seen, except in steel.

Both are good and Iím not selling any that I have. I bought enough Kingston receivers for future builds if I ever have any grandkids.

Yes, about half went to friends and I kept the rest. I think I paid around $90 plus shipping when I bought mine.

Iíve built a couple which are basically Kidd rifles with a steel receiver. With the Kidd tapered barrel they have a real nice balance.
