Texas Knife is a great outfit to deal with. Just a suggestion, but why not pick up a couple blades and scales and put one together as a start. Starting that way will give you a good experience on the finishing end and you can put together a very nice finished product.

I don't agree with everything this guy does but he has some good info in a format that is easy to learn from.

Adding To The List Of Suppliers

To add to the list of suppliers, I really like Red Label. It's a family-owned business. They offer great customer support and their products are pretty durable. I know a lot of the guys on Forged In Fire also use them. You can view their knife making belt selection here: https://www.redlabelabrasives.com/co...ding-belt-kits

Jantz Supply has a very good selection and are fast to ship. I would suggest ordering their catalog. It has a very good selection of all things knifemaking and is a great "idea" book for designs to try out. I have also had good luck with Tru Grit for abrasives and abrasive machines.
