It's not a rimfire, but fits in nice with the others. Thought I would share, things have been a little slow around here.
Model 190 16 gauge,

I just picked one of these up too. My buddy took it to a pile of shows and no one showed interest so I got it for $75. Mine is in about the same shape as yours. Nice gun to carry. Gonna see if I can get some slugs to try in it.

Let me know how the other ends works, I know the 12 gauge packs a wallop with buckshot. I assuming the 16 will as well.

I had one of those in 1958.. old it about 1959 for $35.

I recall one interesting 'event' with it.

Was rabbit hunting. All of a sudden there is a rabbit right between my feet. I took out the mag, unloaded the chamber and used the gun like a golf club or ball bat on the rabbit. I guess I miossed cause the rabbit ran, but the stock broke.. I dont recall what a new one cost me..

My Dad had one. Used it for everything from barn rats to deer. Indestructible

I have one of those as well. Needs a magazine, but otherwise in very nice shape for it's age. Still has the $69.95 price tag on the trigger guard (I've had it for a couple years now ).

The shotgun mags also bring good money when you can find one.

I like those old bolt action shotguns. Thats a nice one. I wouldn't mind on in 12ga to have around. I do have a New Haven 283 3 shot with the internal mag. Not much bigger than the 340 series. Wish it had the Schnabel stock.

Scooter nice one, I see a lot of the New Havens around here, but always left them were they laid. I guess I was just never interested in them.

There were two at the pawn shop earlier this week. A16 and a 12. Both poly choke or whatever the Mossberg term is. About a month ago an old Danish guy I know wanted me to buy one he bought new but was very rusty. I felt he would get insulted at my offer so I passed. Would have been a good project though. I was over at his house to ID an old gun he has. It was a Vetterli. So that was cool.

I shot a few 2 3/4" #4 high brass out of it and it was similar to my 12 guage. I think the buckshot and slugs will be a little more punishing. I picked up a 200 KA the same week. Had no intention of buying either one but couldn't pass for the prices that were being asked.

I guess I need to see if I can find some 16 gauge shells now. I still have not shot it's little sister yet, a 20 gauge.

I have one of these 16 Gauge Mossies as well, and it's literally and figuratively a BLAST to shoot! :-) I can advise that 16Ga ammo can be hard to find, so buy it when you can. I think they carry it at Atwoods.

No such place in my area. But I should be able to locate some fairly easy.
