Thanks guys,

Nah not Cedar or a old hatch cover. Wish I had some of the teak wood I used to have aboard the ship, that would of made a nice table top.

It is Pine from Ponderosa panels that I bought at Lowes. Got the table legs there also. Sanded it down , stained it and started sealing it with Min-Wax wipe on poly. I still have to seal the bottom side and then use the fire out of it.

Rico,

Couple days if the wind dies down will be making a couple runs myself. BAndito still has the Ulti-1/4, 13mm, and the 1/8th to try. The Fatbaby wants to take a run at the 1/8th and the z-row.

yea, rigger,

i hear you about the wind. lately i wont attempt any shooting even with cheap ammo if the flag is dancing around. cant afford to be wasting ammo even if it is cheap stuff. am getting low as it is. they want $20.00 a brick here for fed 510,
and $30.00 for rem subs, kinda nutzo, LOL, but whatcha gonna do? LOL,

the cheapest ammo here is am eagles @ $13.00 which is one of my main stays, but not good enuff for any of the games, but as the ole' saying goes,

"if ya wanna play, ya gotta pay"...........as vince always says, "how fast ya wanna go" ?? LOL,

have found out a long time ago, it takes quality ammo to be consistant making
those small holes.

this weekend will be making a run at the 8-ball game and the ZEE-row game again, but with a diff type of ammo that is new to me; RWS subs. just hope they do well. nothing like trying something new and it ..............oh well, LOL,

will see in a few days, actually am kinda anxious @ $40.00 a brick. will let you all know how it does, as i dont recall anyone here using it before.

but with the SK+ i have found that it is a bit lacking. not whining for the price,
but feel that i need to step up to something a bit more consistant, whatever that may be, to get that 4 ZEE-row nailed down without burning the CC. but that is just me and my mind set, just cant let it go, altho' i dont lose sleep over my in-ability, LOL, i blame it on the ammo, ha ha ha, JK,

BUT, no matter what, good, bad, fugly, am having fun, and putting in some quality trigger time, so it is all worth it to me,

rico....

And if you can't go shoot, then chase the aspirins with a cold beer! Just don't mix the shooting with the beer - Safety first...

If ya can't shoot just refinish a stock, that way when you do shoot it looks good.

well, gave it a "run", but,

couldn't sink the 8 ball, LOL, for any < .125 groups,

tried some RWS subs and were a bit worse. these were shot with SK+,
but none were close enuff. group # 1 was the smallest, but still TOO big,
group # 3 was not worth mzrng, LOL, but all in all, not too bad, BUT am really low on SK ammo,

rico....

well, tried a few more groups,

and tried "snuggling" down on the torque a bit at a time and seemed to
help.

tomorrow, if the wind co-operates, will give this game another "rack"ing, LOL,

rico....

Dino,

if you think the "pool hall" game is hard, try vincents' 4 ZEE-row challenge,
and see how much ammo you go thru. after a coupla bricks of pricey ammo
was only able to manage 3 on the same card.

BTW, you only need *THREE* good groups out of 4, 4 shots per group under .125" to qualify. check your targets again. you may have some good ones.
each game has it's own guidelines

rico....

Can do 1 out of 4 on a good day,I'm still trying to make the 1/4"club. It's almost funny,I'm like the proverbal monkey and the football.I would of made the 1/4" club 20 times if I could scotchtape just 1 group to another target. You know it's bad when you call the range and ask what the wind flag is doing. But the main thing is I'm having fun.

sorry, dino,

no "cherry picking" LOL, as i was told a long time ago, LOL, all groups need to
be on the same card.

for now, stay with the 1/4" club, as it is a lot easier than "playing pool",
the only time you will need scotch tape is to stick the target to the wall
and take a pic of it to show us how well you did.

it's not a big rush to get into any of these "games". we are not going anywhere. when the shooting conditions are right, you will make it,

just have FUN shooting, the MAIN theme here,

BTW, normally, it takes a bit of tinkering and some good ammo to make small holes, but here we enjoy doing what it takes to achieve that end. AND, if you
hunt all the better if your shooter is really accurate,

rico....
