10/22 stainless originally in Fajen Classic grey laminated wood stock with Midway (Adams and Bennett) stainless barrel.
Then in a ATI Dragunov style stock... then a Hogue Overmold, and finally in a Nordic Arms AR22 stock kit with home trigger job, custom mag release/bolt lock (got it at Brownells years ago) DPMS Panther grip, Walnut A2 stock, Volquartsen comp, harris BR bipod and UTG rifle length rail. Also has my BSA 8-32X44mm target scope with 1/8" click target knobs.

hope this is right...

Alright, it's been awhile since I last posted anything but, I'm starting to get back at it. This is not a ruger but, a Marlin 925 mag. Didn't know where else to post it but i think it should fit here.
I came up with my own solution for a "different" kind of sunshade (they don't make one for the scope I have on it and I like the scope too much to go and buy a different one). I decided to make a large, free floating type that will later be attatched to the stock. I have it just sitting on the barrell to get an idea of what it would look like. I don't know if this will work or not but, i'm actually kinda liking it so far. I still have a ways to go to get the whole package the way I want...fabricate a new bolt handle, make an adjustable cheekrest, cut down g3 mag to cover my clip,etc....
I'm also working on a honeycomb killflash insert for the shade and a black/OD green-snakeskin-camo paint job. Sorry for the lousy pics (can't find my camera so i used my phone).

Interesting looking sunshade you got there. Let us know how she works when you get her out and shooting.

Where is a good place to get a 20 MOA base at?

Woogie,
I was on MidwayUSA.com the other day and found this...

EGW 1-Piece Picatinny-Style 20 MOA Elevated Base Ruger 10/22 Matte

Product #: 87359
Status:Available
+4.5 stars out of 5 on 3 reviews.
$39.99

Seems resonable enough, but honestly, I haven't looked anywhere else for price comparison.

Hope this helps.

Any plans on painting the stock? Or do you like the pseudo matte black?
So far... I like your black/green color combo. Well done.

Awsome looking rifle. What did you use to paint with? I am currently putting a "camo" finish on mine.

Thanks cslepp! I was debating whether or not to paint the stock. I thinl I just might now that u mentioned it. lol thankss!
The paint is krylon fusion. I first sanded it down with 400 and 600 grit then used a bare metal primer (2 coats very light) then put 3 very light coats of fusion od green. Let it "bake" in a closed car for 7 days in 90+ degree weather to cure it. It has been very durable so far!

I just ordered that stock. Is yours free floated or are you using a pressure pad?

Mine is free floated (after 10 minutes of dremel work). I have not added any pressure pads.

To speak on this further...
What I didn't know when I bought the stock was that the channel actually has two built in high points / "pressure pads" that a normal .920 would rest on. One at the very end of the forearm and one in the very back, at about 1" forward of the barrel lug. It's really just part of the mold. So... if you're dropping in a .920 barrel like I did, you'll probably have to remove the forward "pad" to free float it. I left the rear "pad" just for supporting the barrel 'some and to mitigate any barrel "droop" like you may have read about.

Cool. Well... the barrel, scope and reciever look great. Nice job.
I'll be interested in the results of any further painting you do.

This might be a stupid question... but do you like your stock? The fit and quality are what you expected?
