Chromie, to post a pic, copy the last(3rd) html under the picture on photobucket. Give it a try.

Rules?

This has taken off! I can't believe how fast this evolved from a thread announcing it just yesterday. Hats off to Vincent and RICOCHET!

FWIW my "Superstock" project will use the stock barrel (for now), plastic stock, VQ hammer & sear kit, recoil buffer, extended mag release, auto bolt release and a 3-9X40 Simmons scope - The VQ mod is the most expensive mod/add-on to date. Want to play with this set up for a while with different ammo to see what it will do at 25 & 50 yards. Am considering having Randy set back the stock barrel , rechamber, and recrown etc. Or, may add a GM fluted Sporter barrel - Want to keep the original stock and basic profile. Still formulating this project in my mind - Rifle must be at home in the woods and on the bench. Light AND accurate.

Don't know if this fits everyone's idea of a "Superstocker" but I concur with one of the previous posts - "Run what you brung"!

Good shootin'! My fancy rest consists of a '99 SHO brake rotor base with laminated Doug Fir body , 1 1/4" X 6" threaded rod and an Aspen shelf !
cost = FREE !

I guess if it works it works. and thanks, but this isn't near as good as some I've seen on the site. I think I need alot of practice and a softer trigger cuz that is so darn stiff. the stock needs some finger groves like shooter05 (I think) put on his but I'm not going to change anything for now

I would love to have a finger groove sporter with a cpc barrel, action etc, take a nice older one(walnut) make the finger grooves would be a neat Superstocker as well, so many options so little money LOL

marlin mdl 60's ??

got a beater from the pawner a few months ago and have been tweakin it kinda like the 10/22's but the marlins have no after market parts. already "wasted" one set of hammer / sear parts, and brownells was happy to send another set, really like this gun with the tube feed, 17 rnds, trying to figure out how to make a hi-cap tube; 40 roundee perhaps?? tig welding a coupla arrow shafts ??

IMO these "lowly" un-respected guns should be allowed into our SS forum.
wanna see how the 10/22's compare to this,

a few groups while dinking around with the beater. okay, a measly 25 yrds, but was doing some testing and dont mean much, yet. have to try some 'spensive ammo LOL. and get those groups a bit tighter.

for VINCES' new idea, all types of guns should be allowed as long as they are semi-autos. my .22 cents

For out of the box STOCK it's hard to beat a Marlin, and that's a fact. Some tinkering may turn out very interesting
