The 2nd gunsmith said the previous gunsmith pretty much totaled the lever by grinding it and cutting a notch ( he didn't understand why this was done ).

Anyway, I need a new lever. Does anyone know where there is one in stock?

TIA!!!

OOS at Numrich, seems like that everywhere. My gunsmith says he has checked everywhere he normally gets parts with no luck but is still trying.

Glad I could help. Save that number. They have many Marlin parts. I am not sure what other parts they may have. Good old vepr told me about them a few years ago.

Gunsmith called today to say the lever would not fit, close but it was just slightly different

I didn't order it by a parts #, I told them it was a newer AS and that was all they asked. I am probably going to sell an LN rifle as parts

William you should sign up on the Marlin Owners sight and place an ad in their classifieds wanting a 39AS lever and see what happens. There may be someone with a parts gun willing to let one go.
