What's up with the rear sight on the 455 Lux....?

I own one. Its a treat to use - light, handy, outrageously accurate, and darn good looking too except for one thing - the awkward looking rear sight.
Its a pretty run of the mill Williams W/E adjustable sight. Boxy. Passionless. Doesn't fit in with the rest of the rifle.
But the rear sight on the Scout would fit right in, aesthetically speaking.
It wouldn't be as adjustable (and the blade looks to be too tall as is) but if it fits... I'm buying one.

So, does anyone have both, and can measure the hole spacing?
I'd love to know if they can be swapped

Thanks!

For $100 dollars CZ offers a sight upgrade for the 455 models. The upgrade features a front and rear sight in the 452 Full Stock Tangent pattern. It simply screws on where the Williams rear and front sight use to be.

Thanks 59801.
Do you have a link to that? I've never seen it on their site...

It likely won't fit. The 455 Scout (and probably the 457 Scout too, since they appear to have the same sights) uses a different hole spacing for the rear sight than every other 455 model. Dumb, but it is what it is.

And that's what I assumed....
Bummer. I could have easily modified the blade to a useable height.
Well, if I ever have a bunch of cash I don't know what to do with I can always call NECG...

I just googled "455 Tangent Sight Up Grade Package" and got the CZ Web store listing. The part number is 5073020001 and cost $100 dollars. It says it fits the 455 Full Stock and Lux.

Thanks guys. I found it too once I knew what to search for. It looks like that could work for me even with my scope. Might just go on my Christmas list too. Thanks!

I dont know if you like Fiber Optic Sights or not, and I haven't tried this myself but CZ offers a Fiber Optic Sight blade for the CZ 527/557 (part # 5571016001) that should work. It cost $15 dollars. It looks like it ought to interchange with the blade in the Sight Upgrade Package. I'm not a Fiber Optics fan myself so haven't tried it but if this appeals to you a call to CZ might get you a positive answer.

For a little more you can get a whole new Trainer barrel with the tangent sight already on it. Comes with a mag, tools and spacer, too. Should fit the Lux.

You could sell the original barrel if you don't need 2.

I'm thinking they'll have a sale sometime soon, maybe this week for Black Friday.
