Probably get a couple bucks for the empty Xmas ones on Ebay though.

Given the quantities of the 2016 Christmas boxes that I think were produced I doubt that they will ever be worth more than there original price.
The 2015 Christmas was a much shorter run and would be a better item to hold.

Just shoot the ammo and keep the empty boxes.

The discounted price is par nowadays, but I have to laugh at the "list price." When was 50 rounds of CCI Standard ever sold for $9.99? Even in the depths of the ammo drought, the highest I ever saw was $6.50.

You obviously haven't checked what the empty slides, both 50 and 100 rounds, sell for on eBay.

I shot a box of the 2015 this past Sunday and threw the empty box in the garbage at the range.

Holy carp!
$25 for 5 empty 100rd boxes?
I bought 30 boxes of CCI MiniMag last month. I picked up a few 100rd Rem GB 40g because I liked the box and was planning on reusing them.
