Remington 22 Golden Bullet 225?

I scored 3 boxes of the above, beggars can't be choosers so I took them. Have a 10/22, a Henry H001 and a Single Six. So what do I have and which gun would be best to use it in and which to keep it away from? Just a plinker.

Try using the search button

Be prepared for a lot of negative feedback on Remington rimfire

Try it in whatever you want to try it in

I don't have a 10/22 so I cannot comment. The H001 and the single six will have no trouble with them.

A lot of negative feedback as Warp says, including 'I wouldn't touch it if it was free' gibberish. Try it in your guns, I suspect it will work well, it is some of the more reliable bulk for me.

No issues with the stuff in a 10/22 (stock carbine), Ruger Mk II, GSG 1911-22, or several bolt guns. The semis will need cleaning sooner than if using CCI Blazer, etc. And it won't be particularly accurate (about 3/4" at 25 yards from the factory carbine).

It shoots pretty darn well in most of my rimfires. Auto, bolt, and semi auto pistols. It seems to be even more accurate than Federal 550/525 packs in my CZ trainer.

It is one of the few bulk packs that reliably cycles my Colt 1911-22 pistol. It should be fine in your 10/22. My 10/22 can be picky and doesn't like Fed Automatch.

I regularly exercise 3 22 lr. semi-auto handguns. For cheap plinking ammo my 3 go to choices are Golden Bullets, Thunderbolts and CCI Blazers. Unless your life or an important match are at stake all give excellent results [one fail round per brick or less]. One of my 3 handguns faults a bit on Federal and Winchester. Just my experience.

Try it

Give it a try and make your own decision, there are a lot of guys that have nothing good to say about this particular ammo. About five years ago I wouldn't waste a single red penny on it but about a year or so ago, I found a pack that stated that it was "New and Improved" so I decided to try it. I have to say that I was surprised on how good it ran in my Marlin 60, Marlin xt-22, GSG-1911/22 and my wife's Ruger SR22. Some guys are way too up tight, if this is the only ammo I can find then this is the ammo I'm gonna shoot.
Just shoot them and enjoy it then decide.

Shoots well in some of my guns, not others.
Only way to know is to test them out in each gun you have.
Personally, I wouldn't buy them again.

One of the first things I did in January 2013 was sell all 6,600 rounds of Rem Goldencrap I'd been holding for years.

I cleared 11 cents per round and could have got more (it sold Buy It Now before auction was over). I just had to wait about 1.5 years to turn around and get Mini Mags for 9 cents per round as a replacement

Yep, the old bulk stuff definitely had some issues. Wise move.
