CZ 452 Grand Finale

I bit the bullet and bought a brand new CZ 452 Grand Finale. Good thing I waited this long to purchase as I would not have paid $1k for this rifle no matter how good the wood is for a 22 rifle. It's got very good tiger stripes and you can say I won on lottery on the wood as I bought it blind. I will be putting a used Leupold 4-12x40mm AO matte finish on this little rifle and take it squirrel hunting next year. I will enjoy it and not just buy to let it sit in the closet.

Nice! So how does it shoot? I ask because I am tempted to buy one but only if they shoot well.

Very nice wood on your Grand Finale. I think any CZ fan that can afford one should get one while they are still available. Don't ask why I feel that way.

Thank you guys. I have not setup my scope and rifle yet and so not sure how it will shoot, but I am sure it will be very accurate like all of my other CZ 452 American rifles which I own two other ones. This Grand Finale is a special rifle and so I am sure it will be very accurate with my SK HV ammunition which I was lucky I stock up on before they discontinued it.

Gladesguy, you don't need to worry about accuracy when you talk about CZ 452 as they are all very accurate it's a matter of testing what ammo they like to eat.

I will be smiling next year when I take this baby into the woods and enjoy hunting with it.

The Grand Finale rifles IMO do look better with a gloss finish scope to match the high polished bluing. My first GF with the gloss finish scope.

My most recent GF with 4-12X40 AO Leupold in matte finish. Just not quite as good looking as the gloss finish. I will be on the hunt at shows for a older gloss Leupold.

Yes, the gloss scope does look nicer but for hunting I will go with matte finish any day as I don't want it to shine and scare my game away. If this was mainly for target shooting and admiring for beauty contest looks I would have definitely go with gloss scope.

Bandit, you have a couple nice wood furniture there also. I have seen some nice GF and some very plain wood stocks on the GF. You did good on those two rifle buy. Looks nice.

The gloss scope will not alert the game any more than the gloss barrel. Which is to say none at all. One the other hand, I dont know of any Leupold that comes with a gloss finish unless it is a megabucks special order. I do seek out the old gloss models in my travels. That has gotten harder.

Nice rifle.
