Have a 1969 model 550-1 with a blonde stock. It is the most accurate 22 auto I have shot. Shoots as good as some of my bolt rifles. It loves all the ammo you can feed it.

Mine seems to like anything I feed it.
It's been in the family since new.

Vinco, I was feeling selfish because I have 2. One dad bought new in 1960, the other I bought a couple of weeks ago

I picked one up at an estate sale the other day. Nice shape, vintage leather 1903 sling and a brand new SKB soft rifle case. $125!!😬

Well, found out today that Dad's 550-1 likes either CCI SV or Eley. They Eley was a bit better but not by much. The Federals weren't working and the CCI MMs weren't doing so hot either. Off of a rest, the SVs and the Eleys were about an inch at 50 yards, maybe an inch and an eighth.

Well buckweet my problem is I don't get to shoot my 550-1 enough. Too many others that need shooting. What a problem to have.
