Burris Weaver Style Zee Ring Height???

I'm planning on using a Leupold FX-1 4x 28mm scope on my Ruger 10/22 DSP Sporter (gun is stock) . Can I get by with the Burris Low Rings, or do I need to go to the Medium Height? Thanks for the input.

Best Regards,

I don't know if the Burris Zee rings and the Signature Zee are the same height. I have a Weaver Grand Slam with 50mm objective mounted on a 10/22 with medium height Signature Zee rings and I still have a little space in between the barrel. I would think the lows would work with either one with a scope that small. But you should buy them from somewhere you can return them just in case.

I wish I had a good answer. You might swing the lows, but the medium should for sure work. Burris rings do run a bit on the low side. I hate matching up rings. Every time its been a pain. I've hit Midway or wherever else to try and find specs, and when I couldn't, I scavenged the forums for a picture of what I was wanting to do, and then messaged whoever posted the pic.

I have bought most of my rings from optics planet, and the couple times that I have had to return them, did not have any issues.

ADP3 sir do you have BassPro, Cabelas, Scheels or Sportsman big box gun shop near you. I would suggest you take your rifle and scope down there and buy a set of rings from them...it might cost you a few dollars more but you can choose the height, style, brand and cost you want to pay. They have plenty of brands to choose from and you get what you want the first time...me on the other hand the closest shop like those are 2.5 hours away on a good day with no traffic. So I have to order and wait a week for stuff to show up and hope its right...and if not I have to pay to ship them back and wait for a refund.

While they at it have them bore sight your rifle...killing two birds with one stone.

Just a suggestion and good luck on your quest.

Thanks for the replies. Given the times that we are in I'll probably mail order rings to avoid as much contact with folks as possible. Once the rings arrive all I have to do is mount the scope and step outside.
