Sunny weather. Shooting the Cascade

Got out to the range for some 50 yard shooting with the Kimber of Oregon Cascade. First time on the outdoor range for this new to me Kimber. I shot a few rounds at 50 feet indoors to zero the Leupold 4-12 scope. Found 2 kinds of ammo it likes but it will do no good because I only had one box of each. Wolf Match Extra from an old lot that used to be made in Germany but is now made by Eley for Wolf. And some old Eley 10X with dried up lube. Oh well. Ill go back to the range for more testing and maybe it will like Wolf Match Target also from Germany but I have several bricks. 2 groups of 5 shots measure about .290 and one goes .340

Hush, I'm really happy to see your results. As you try other ammo, you may find that you have a real "bughole" shooter because you're close to that now. Most of all--- Enjoy!

Very nice, Hush! Looks good and shoots good -- the best kind of combination. I miss my Cascade.

What a beautiful work of art! How come mine looks like a "canoe paddle" next to yours , luck of the Irish, right place at the right time. It was nice to see you at the APRC show, maybe after things get back to normal we can get together for a little range time, I know Bob is ready to go.

The Cascade is my favorite Kimber model. Wish the Custom Cascades were more common and of course less $$$$. Seems like most Kimbers shoot good. I am very happy with the way this rifle shoots. Had a Custom Classic that could shoot similar groups.

Sounds like a good plan Tim. May be a few months before things start to return to normal. Most of the Cascades I have seen have plainer wood and less gloss in the finish than this rifle.
This stock also has the scalloped feature just ahead of the magazine well like some of the high grade Kimbers. Only Cascade I have seen done this way and one of our serious collectors in Oregon tells me it is the only Cascade he has seen with that feature.
