Love the custom low glare receiver on that one Hush! It takes a master gunsmith to correctly match the patina/rust look of an originally abused rifle. Jackrabbits will never see you coming no matter how bright it gets.

Alternate to using a safety...

Hunters in Africa, many years ago, would just leave the bolt handle up as a way of carrying the rifle safely and yet be able to get to shoot it quickly. Thumb on the bolt handle can bring it down leaving your hand in position to shoot about as quick as the other safeties of the period.

Take some Big 45 Frontier metal Cleaner to that receiver.... you just may remove the rust, without damaging the Bluing.

David Valdina I will try the bolt handle trick. Flintlock28 I ordered a couple off the pads awhile back and need to figure out where I stashed them.

Vertfish I think I will take this to a guy here that does tattooing. He has a lot of spare time and does some engraving on the side. Uses modified equipment with gold paint instead of ink.

This. Don't need a safety from the bench and if hunting don't chamber a round until you are ready to shoot.

Most of my handguns have no safety and they are carried with one in the chamber. A mechanical safety can fail, the one between your ears should never do so.
