Talk to me when you have 66 years of shooting experience.

Then your eyes will be old enough. Then you'll maybe understand.

Do I have to wait until then to understand? I merely stated I didn't like fiber optic sights.

A post about how your eyes finally got bad enough that the black sights didn't work for you anymore.

It happens to most of us eventually.

Without the fiber optic front sight, I'd be all over that like a chicken on a June Bug.
That can be easily changed.

When eventually gets here, I will replace those black iron sights with scopes. Still won't like those day-glo sights.

Quiet, it's my justification to prevent having to buying one.

I put a red one on the front of my 12 ga. a decade ago and never looked back. I tried green first but the red stood out better against the sky on rocketing grouse.

Yours a bit more steady with the scope weight Gerald?

Carry on.

I've been shooting for nearly 60 years, have a sister that's been shooting for about 65 and a brother that's been at it for nearly 70. We got together for shooting in August and none of us had fiber optic sights on a total of 8 rifles and handguns. None of us have excellent eyesight, all have been wearing glasses all our lives and I've had cataract surgery in both eyes. Age doesn't automatically require them. It's also a personal preference. When I buy a firearm with the fiber optic front sight one of the first things I do is remove it and replace it with a Patridge type. On the other hand, I don't shoot in low light conditions and if I did I would at least give them a shot. So to speak.

I sure like mine. It fits so good in my hand. The ring on the bolt is real nice too. I couldn't ask for anything better. Well maybe.
