Volquartsen or TK trigger?

Log in to see fewer ads
I ordered a Volquartsen accurizing kit for my MKIV. Now I see, Tandemkross has released a Victory trigger for the MKIV. Debating on ordering a victory trigger to use with the kit or install the Volquartsen trigger. Any thoughts?

I installed the Volquartsen kit today, but won't get a chance to shoot it until after jan1. I have dry fired it and I like the feel of it.

I installed the TK Victory trigger today. Went with the red one because it's pretty. I like the flat face, though the edges could have been rounded off some. The face is checkered and your finger will not slip around.

I had originally installed the volquartsen kit with the volquartsen trigger. I then installed the victory trigger from tandemkross. I preferred the tandemkross victory trigger. I was able to get consistent finger placement, and thus better groupings. I also liked that the victory trigger over travel set screw had a nylon end which prevents "denting" the frame.

Unless I'm wrong your are comparing apples and oranges here. The Voquartsen kit is a lot more than just a trigger while as far as I know the TK trigger is just the trigger.
I think what the OP is looking for an answer for, I know I am, is whether to install the Volquartsen kit then weather or not to add the TK trigger to it in order to get the flat face.

I'd like confirmation that the TK trigger is compatible with the remainder of the Volkquartson parts.

I hate to use the word assume, but if the TK trigger is interchangeable with the factory parts, I don't see any reason the TK trigger wouldn't work with the rest of the parts.

Would be nice if Volkquartson sold the kit minus the trigger.

Volquartsen trigger

I have the Volquartsen kit in hand but have not installed yet in my Mark IV target. A couple of questions come to mind when considering the Victory trigger versus the Volquartsen kit. With just the Victory trigger it does not remove the magazine disconnect, correct? But with the Volquartsen you get all but the bigger trigger, will the Victory trigger work with the Volquartsen kit? I have used Victory triggers before on my 22/45 and SW Victory 22 but never in conjunction with any Volquartsen parts. I will order the Victory trigger for my Mark IV Hunter but want to also remove magazine disconnect so will I need the Volquartsen kit anyway? Sorry for all the questions.

No. To do the job right it will be $105 + $40. Volquartsen doesn't sell the MkIV kit ala carte yet.

I installed the full Volquartsen kit in my MkIV a couple of weeks ago and the practical accuracy (i.e. my ability to shoot it well) went way up. The trigger pull is immeasurably better.

Another vote for the TK Victory trigger. I bought one to try and that led to replacing all the VQ triggers in my Rugers with the TK Victory triggers.

I have Geisselle flat triggers in my AR-15s and S&W 15-22s.

This is kinda of a different question, is the Volquartsen Trigger the same for the Mark III and the Mark IV. Did they change the trigger at all on the Mark IV ?

Well. I decided to get the TK trigger. So I will be using all the VQ parts with a TK trigger.
