I just browsed a few minutes ago and saw Volquartsen offering their accurizing kit for the Mark IV including a bolt release.

Let us know your experience if you get one for Christmas.

Just got an e-mail from Volquartsen that they have an Accurizing Kit available for the MKIV.

The picture looks like it's the same old accurizing kit. I thought they would have to at least make a different looking sear. Do you think it's just an old photo?

in the photo every thing looks the same except the trigger is definitely profiled differently to fit in the IV frame

Thanks for the update. Ordered the mark iv about an hour ago and the kit just now. It will be good to get rid of the ruger trigger and mag disconnect as soon as I get the pistol.

The trigger [email protected]@KS different? Looks like the same dang trigger they've been selling for 25 years.

The MkIV triggers have to be beveled at the front edges to match the radius of the frame's machined trigger pocket. It's a very minor change and not obvious from a photo unless you look closely.

I also ordered the kit today.

absolutely correct...just as I stated above...here's some pictures for those who didn't pick up the difference between a MK III and MKIV trigger.. the MKIV trigger is profiled differently than the MKIII's to fit in the MKIV frame.

The extended bolt release is less needed in the MkIV than in any previous Ruger Mk-series since the bolt can be "sling-shotted" without touching the bolt release and the factory release is also bigger and more accessible than earlier ones.

It is indeed, but should be very simple to alter the aftermarket trigger.

Why? Seems Volquartsen has done their homework and their kit includes a trigger for the MK IVs' new contour..

This thread appears to be about the VOLQUARTSEN ACCURIZING KIT.

But it's good to know that it benefited those that didn't know the MK IV trigger has a different shape and isn't the same dang trigger they've been selling for 25 years.
