The one nice thing on the MKIV no doubt is being able to swap things around with the push of a button. My original Standard upper has been sitting in a box for a year, and on a whim I snared a 22/45 frame off gunbroker for a buck fifty, and threw a VQ sear/disconnector in it, mainly just to make use of that factory receiver. But of course you can always push a button and swap around at will. While I've never referred to my FrankenRuger MKIV with the VQ upper as a "Scorpion" (because its not), if I added the hammer, grips, and trigger shoe to this, I guess I could accurately call it a Black Mamba.

I agree, and also love being able to tinker with Mk IVs. I like the grip panel on your Mk IV frame; are you willing to share who makes them?

Nice pair. Being able to swap uppers/ lowers on the MK IV at will is an under rated feature. Somethng not so gauranteed on earlier models.

Hogue G10 Piranha. Black/Black. When I get panels for the 22/45 frame someday, may do the same thing again if they make it for that. I think they have Black/Brown and maybe Black/OD green.

I Love the fact that it is so easy to modify the Ruger Mark IV. I took my first 22/45 Lite and upgraded until the only part left original on it is the frame.

Finally I found a new frame for the spare upper that was now sleeping in the safe. I too ended up with two Mark IVs that I like.
