Nope, that's a conversation for the LGS to have with Henry or their distributor. Just passing on what they told me.

Looks like a sample size of 1 gun shop and 1 messenger.

Typical... I've sent two back, Henry made them both right but I still had to send them back.

May I ask why you sent them back? I have 3 .22s and a BBS in .45 Colt. Mine have been completely problem free.

I would just take it off, put some stripper on it and then polished it to a high shine, then put a clear coat on it!

Sure the H001, was key holing badly at 25 yards as in dead sideways, the .22wmr pump just plain locked up solid, came back better but still the stiffest pump action rifle I've ever owned, still have it because I'd hate to sell it to someone else. Some folks can't accept that anything they like can have problems, every manufacturer makes a clinker now and then.

Since Henry is making an updated AR7 Survival Rifle I suggested they make an updated AR5 Survival Rifle. The AR5 was a bolt action 22 Hornet that fit in the stock only I want it in 22lr.

I fixed mine when it had spots peeling and some scratches. Takes a while to strip the finish off but worth the effort. I wouldn't go back to black on mine. I also have been hearing about quality issues from folks while at some LGS.

I have 3 .22s and a BBS in .45 Colt and have yet to have trouble with any of them that wasn't my fault and then it was on my first one, an Hoo1 Classic. TWICE I failed to lock the magazine tube in place causing a jam on the last round. Once I short stroked the lever and didn't feed a round. But that's it . Finish on all 4 guns has not flaked, bubbled or come off.

I still like my Henry's and am hoping a good cleaning solves it.
