CZ can't even run Dan Wesson. What makes them think they can do better at Colt?

I think CZ is bound to do at least as good a job of running Colt as Colt has done.

I think the dan wesson issue is a product line/consumer mis alignment. Cz does budget premium, dan wesson was for the connoisseur. For example; If cz took over anzchutz the anzchutz guys would be really bummed, but the cz guys would be elated...

They should do a bit better with colt as its closer to the the companies core. Colt isn't the premium end, its the ar equivalent to the 455/457.

I think that almost anybody would be an improvement over the last 40 years worth of clowns in charge. Maybe .22 cal revolvers and pistols again??

I like Colt and am always pulling for it to persevere.

I have a CZ 75BD here and it's a first rate pistol, both design and execution. Could have wish for an American company to benefit and profit from latent Colt reputation that's still present though attempts to squander it have been legion, but CZ isn't a bad choice.

With the brief history I have and know of CZ and the people of the Czech Republic, I would bet that if Colt were in their hands it would be a positive thing.

Guessing this will be controlled more by cz Arkansas than cz overseas.

I donít think they can do worse than Colt has done for decades.

The only brand new centerfire pistols I've bought in the last few years have been Colts. I bought 1911's, a Competitition and a couple Wiley Clapp editions all in .45. The Competition I thought was a good value and the Clapps had nice features like front strap checkering and Novak sights. To tell the truth I thought Colt was going under and maybe these guns would be a good investment. But additionally they have proven to me that Colt can still make good pistols. I hope this arrangement with CZ works out.
