I mentioned to my LGS a few months ago that I would take a P17 they got when they finally get one. They said Kel Tecs are difficult in general and seem to come in cycles. They sent me an email yesterday that they had just gotten one, and I bought it 45 minutes later. Now it's in waiting period purgatory. Photo below.

From what I'm picking up on some other forums, this might be the "up" cycle on Kel Tec where pistols are being shipped. Some others are reporting getting them, or seeing them in gun shops. Many of them appear to be the Desert Tan like mine. I actually didn't care what color showed up, although the green is kinda ugly, IMHO.

I want one very badly,,,
I want one very badly,,,
But I'll hang in there and wait for a black one.
I don't mind owning colored pistols,,,
I have a lilac Ruger and a Raspberry Ruger,,,
I just can't warm up to the green or tan colored versions.
There's no accounting for personal tastes is there?

Buds has some Green ones as of 09 Nov 20,,,
Buds has some Green ones as of 09 Nov 20,,,
But the asking price is $299.99 now.
Still not too bad of a price seeing as how it comes with three mags,,,
But it's a 50% increase over their old price of $199.99.
I'll wait for a black one
And hope the price comes back a bit closer to normal.

I finally found a tan one tonight, as aarond said 299.99. Hated to pay that but I figure it was a gamble. Either not find one or the price would go sky high. Found my dad a pmr30 at a decent price too. Win win

You got a steal at that price! Congrats. I’m stuck at work so I still haven’t gotten to see mine yet.

Saw this pistol at my local Academy for 199.99 a couple of months back. Fondled it for a minute and thought to myself " this feels really plasticky". My Tx 22 feels better in my hand. I bought 2 spam cans of Monarch 223 rem instead.

It might be at my FFL this Tuesday. Hope I'm as happy with it as my TX22.

Got it today and shot it today. Ran a clean, dry boresnake through it a few times and the barrel was a little oily when new.
Happy with the Kel-Tec. Less recoil then the TX22. Trigger is much lighter than the TX22 and it felt like I could shoot 16 rounds faster on the Kel-Tec. Slide, mag release, etc were all easy to use. Weighs less, smaller pistol. Like the sights better.
The only thing I like way more about the TX22 is the grip and the way the entire pistol fits in my hand. A full size handgun.
Both are fun guns and glad I have them both rather than two of one or the other. Time will tell which one holds up better.
The dark green pistol cleaned up nice with Ballistol, boresnake and cloth at the range. Going to be shooting it for a month to see if I can develop a comfortable grip.
